What causes windshield cracks?
Cracks can happen for a few reasons. Rocks or debris from the road can hit your windshield, and sudden temperature changes or stress on the glass can also cause cracks. It’s important to get any chip or crack fixed before it gets worse.
Can a cracked windshield be repaired, or does it need to be replaced?
Many chips and cracks can be repaired. It depends on how big the damage is, where it is and how bad it is. Our technicians will check it and tell you the best option.
How long does a windshield repair take?
Most windshield repairs take around 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the damage.
How much does windshield repair cost?
A stone chip or bull’s eye repair is $99, each additional chip on the same vehicle is $45, and a single line crack up to 6″ long is $125. A $45 service fee applies for driving out if the vehicle is not brought over for service. See our Pricing page for details.
Will my insurance cover windshield repair?
Many insurance plans pay for fixing a chipped or cracked windshield, and some may waive the deductible when the glass can be repaired instead of replaced. Check with your insurance company about what they cover.
What if my windshield crack is too large to repair?
If the crack is very large or in a critical spot, you may need a new windshield. We’ll inspect the damage and tell you honestly what needs to be done.
Is it safe to drive with a cracked windshield?
It’s not a good idea. A cracked windshield is weaker in an accident and the crack can spread. It’s best to get it repaired or replaced as soon as possible.
How long will a windshield repair last?
A properly done repair can last for as long as you own your car. Our repairs restore strength and stop the crack from spreading, and they come with a lifetime warranty.
What should I do if my windshield crack starts spreading?
Get it fixed right away so it doesn’t get worse. Until then, avoid extreme heat or cold on the glass and don’t put extra pressure on it.
Will a windshield repair make the crack invisible?
A repair makes the damage look much better, but a small mark may still be visible depending on its size and location. Our main goal is to keep your windshield strong and safe.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, Zelle and all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
